Fletchers Cyclorama

Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama is an amazing 360° painting offers a unique way to experience the history of the Bounty adventures and discover how the world’s most famous mutiny created the Pitcairn and Norfolk Island communities.

Half Day Island Tour

This tour takes you to some of our key historic areas, including Kingston, Cascade and Longridge. This is your chance to learn all about the fascinating history of Norfolk Island.

 

See the famous convict buildings for yourself and enjoy the stories told in the full commentary as you visit each new place.

 

Take in the amazing views from the lookouts, where you’ll get to enjoy our beautiful beaches in all their glory. Learn about Norfolk Island government, laws and of course our unique lifestyle.

 

Some of the highlights include the renowned Melanesian Chapel and a visit to the grounds of an old island home - where you will be served morning or afternoon tea.

Covict Settlement Tour

This in depth tour of the World Heritage Listed Georgian settlement of Kingston. This whole area is a living showcase of Polynesian, convict and Pitcairn Islander history. We take you through the cemetery, where you will hear the history of the colonial headstones, as well as the old houses along Quality Row.

ON this tour you will also walk through the ruins of the New Gaol, see the Pier Store, Boat Shed and the Crank Mill

Museum Tag-a-Long Tour

The Museum has two guided Tag-A-Long tours. These tours include a guided journey behind the scenes, to reveal additional stories from the museum collection and Norfolk's history.

Pitcairn Settlers Village

Experience the proud history of the Pitcairn Island Settlers. Your guided tour will include, the gracious original Bailey homestead & gardens, a stroll through the barn, dairy and out-buildings, a museum filled with items of nostalgic and historic interest, the oldest working forge in the Pacific, an ex-New Zealand Army hut, with war-time memorabilia, an exclusive film of Norfolk Island interest and complimentary refreshments

Museum Pass

Your package includes Museum Passes to the Norfolk Island Museums Collections. The Museum exhibitions are in four buildings in the World Heritage Listed KAVHA.

 

These exhibition's provide the opportunity to come into these historic buildings and learn of our fascinating history.

Taste of Norfolk Tour

On Taste of Norfolk you will meet first hand some passionate local producers.  Taste and discover the fascinating history of Norfolk Island liqueurs, producing 15 liqueurs, rum, and whiskey from mostly local ingredients. Visit a local bee keeper where you will view flow hives and learn about the fascinating local honeybees on Norfolk Island as well as a tasting of the honey with seasonal fruit. Meet a local host making sea salt from the oceans that surround our beautiful island and taste our local beef with the salt, and something sweet!  Then onto a cooking demonstration and tasting of our traditional dishes handed down by our Tahitian foremothers. Watch us create green banana fritters flavoured with local honey, or a similar dish, depending on the seasons.

Island Fish Fry

This fantastic event has been operating for over 40 years. Imagine - a feast of local dishes, salads and homemade coconut bread, alongside mouth-watering fried fish that you won’t forget.

Your feast overlooks breathtaking coastal scenery as the sun sets - with live music in the background.

The dishes include ‘Pilhi’ (savoury banana Slice,) a special sweet potato mash with local herbs called ‘Ana’, coconut bread and delicious coconut pie and cream for dessert

Progressive Dinner

The Progressive Dinner is a 3-course meal, progressing to different Norfolk Island family homes.

 

Each home has been carefully selected - and each dinner host has a sensational story to tell. You will hear everything about their family’s history and day to day life.

 

The Progressive Dinner is a fun night and a great way to meet the local people. You will come away with a true insight on life on Norfolk Island and our beautiful people.

Commandants Dinner

This factual yet fun dinner theatre is a great way to learn about Norfolk’s history. The cast of actors will take you on an entertaining journey back in time. You will be enthralled by the Commandants’ stories about the notorious Convict Settlements on Norfolk Island and how the convicts were treated by sadists and reformers alike.

 

Listen to a chilling recall of one of the infamous rebellions. Marvel at how the Commandants and their families adapted to life in a Norfolk Island penal colony, recreating a little piece of England in the Pacific. Explore their great challenges, impressive successes and shameful secrets.

Terms & Conditions

Package Availability.

These packages are not available for travel departures that include  24 March 2024 to 2 April 2024 and 18 December 2024 to 2 January 2025.

Tours Availability.

Individual tours are based on the availability of these tours from third party tour operators. If individual tours are not available or are cancelled at short notice by the tour operator, Seaview will replace the tour with a similar tour or experience

Conditions/Cancellation Penalties

Package prices advertised are subject to availability at time of booking.  Final payment is due  30 day before check-in.  Accommodation cancellations with 30 days of travel incur a 100% cancellation fees. We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect you against some unforeseen cancellations.

Non-refundable deposits are taken on behalf of suppliers as assurance of payment for services we book for you as well as for the service we have undertaken on your behalf. There are many reasons why people decide to cancel traveling and in all cases deposits remain non-refundable.

Prices shown are in Australian dollars and are payable by direct deposit into our Commonwealth Bank Account. If you would prefer to pay by Visa or Mastercard, please add 1.5% to the total cost of your holiday package.
